About me Was it the desolate daily crowd of all those emaciated beggars on the doorstep of the chapel of my elementary school or the abysmal and unbearable sadness in the eyes of the small orphans on the public square? I do not know. All I know is that I was marked for life by the intolerable human misery from the very beginning of my childhood and, by the means of my childish dreams, I was the one who would make this misery disappear for good. But how? 'Le Theatre De Verdure' was the place where the trigger went off in my young creative mind. I was only seven when I went to my first play. It astonished me. On stage I saw people dance, sing, play, have fun and laugh their hearts out. I knew right then and there that I was made for the stage and that I wanted to perform, sing, dance and laugh. I had found a way out that was opening onto a better world. The incommensurable misery that I witnessed, which was the daily fate of incalculable number of children, could be transformed into a play that transcended these horrible situations and gave them a more human dimension. My decision was made: I was to become an actress, a theater lady as it was known. I was going to "play" with the tough reality of my experiences as a young girl. I was going to create another reality by the sole force of my imagination. I would retreat in my little room and start to write, compose, and direct plays and that, with the help of my older sister. There, all was possible. I was able to travel, leave far away, very far away from the injustice and the stupidity of it all. I was able to create a better world. Nevertheless, life being as it is, children's dreams are often ephemeral, however, the little flame never completely burned out.
Then came the time when it became necessary to grow up, to live where the flightless of childhood was replaced by the daily reality of the adult world with its desertions, its departures, its encounters, its greatnesses and also its weaknesses. But always did persist the little flame. For a long time, I dazed in the swirl of trips, fashion, esthetics, frivolities, but, I never lost sight of that little flame. Then I was introduced in a new way, to music, theater, performance and its learning processes, which turned my life upside down, threaten the little stability I had acquired with so much difficulty throughout my life, nevertheless, provoked a more precise approach towards the transformation of the little flame into an immense bond fire. The desire to share with others and to improve as much as I can the human condition has always been a driving force in my life. I had the idea of this CD partially with the aspiration of helping in a tangible way the abandoned Haitien children. Even if I can only help one child, I will have reached my goal.
